I am an Indigenous anthropologist currently working my way through a PhD program at a wonderful little university in the mid-west. This blog is meant to be a venue for the discussion of my experiences as a Native woman navigating the minefield that is Westernized Academia. I talk about things that are near and dear to my heart, like Native American and Indigenous rights and issues, feminist issues, and issues related to socioeconomic status and race/ethnicity.

This doesn’t mean, however, that this blog has to be all sad, all anger, all the time (though it would be perfectly ok too). I might occasionally post some hilarity, a recipe or two, or artwork. Who knows!
